Borno Network for CSOs inaugurate new executives

The Borno State Chairman of Network of Civil Society Organizations, Ambassador Bulama Abiso has commended Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State for his humanitarian and developmental strides and meeting with the needs of the people especially the vulnerable in the state.

He also pledged to carry all and sundry along on the navigation board towards consolidating on the successes and achievements recorded and strengthen the capacity of the members of the network in the discharge and implementation of projects and programmes in the overall interest of the people.

Abiso stated this on Saturday in his welcome speech after the inauguration of the new state executives that will runs the affairs of the network in the next few years held at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital’s new auditorium, Maiduguri.

He assured that the executives will continue to engage and build the capacity of member organizations to ensure productivity and sustainable development in communities.

The Chairman further pledged to work assiduously with the government and all collaborate with security agencies to bring back peace to the state that has been bedeviled by Boko Haram insurgency.

Some partners and stakeholders in their goodwill messages, congratulated the network for maintaining a smooth transition and called on others to emulate the Network, while assuring the new executives of their support in achieving their goals.

Highlights of the election include the presentations of Certificate of Return to the new executives by the Chairman Electoral Committee, Dr. Mustapah Kolo and subsequently Barrister Sawaba administered the oath of office to the elected executives.
