Christmas: Kefas cautions Christians on suspicious movement

Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas has caution Christians to be vigilant in their movement while celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.

 

Governor Kefas stated this in a state broadcast presented in the Executive Chamber of the Government House, Jalingo, Taraba State capital on 24th of December, 2023.

He said, Christmas is a time for reflection, gratitude, renewed hope, and moving forward in one accord.

“However, I must express the cautionary note as we navigate this joyous time. While I understand the tradition of paying homage during this season, I urge caution in our movements”.

“The current circumstances call for prudence, and we must be mindful of the importance of minimizing unnecessary travel to safeguard our lives and our communities’ well-being”.

According to him, their should be an alternative ways of safeguarding life while celebrating, “Let us find alternative ways to express our unity and celebrate the season while ensuring the health and security of all”.

He warned criminals, to consider this festive season as a time for reflection and renewal, the time when the spirit of unity and compassion should resonate in every heart.

Dr. Kefas called on those with criminal tendencies to shunned the part of evil and embrace the opportunity for redemption and betterment of the society.

“I extend esteemed message to those who engage in criminal activities in the state. Your actions not only threaten the safety and well-being of our communities but also undermine the collective efforts to build a prosperous and harmonious society”.

Governor Kefas therefore, urged the people to exercise caution and follow the guidelines provided by the security agencies and road safety during Christmas celebration.
