Court admits Sen Ndume to bail

The Federal High Court, Abuja, on Friday, admitted Sen. Ali Ndume to bail after spending five days in Kuje Correctional Centre.

Justice Okon Abang, who gave the ruling, said the court decided to exercise its discretionary power based on the good conduct of Ndume in the course of the trial of Abdulrasheed Maina, former Chairman, defunct Pension Reformed Task Team (PRTT), who he stood aa surety for. 

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ndume, who represents Borno South Senatorial District, was remanded in the prison custody after Maina was said to have jumped bail.(NAN)
