Cross River Govt flags off distribution of palliatives

The Cross River State Government on Tuesday commenced the distribution of palliatives to the vulnerable and disability people across the 18 local government Areas of the State.

Flagging off the programm, the state Governor Bassey Otu explained that the exercise has no political affiliation

According to the governor, we are doing it for everyone we will continue to do that”

Otu who was represented by his deputy, Rt Hon. Peter Odey assured different groups including the organized Labour that the committee is doing a wonderful job.

Earlier, the Chairman of the palliative committee and secretary to the state government Professor Anthony Owan Enoh had assured different groups of the committee resolved to reach everyone including rural communities

Professor Anthony Owan Enoh gave an assurance that all groups including Trade Union Congress, students, civil servants, churches and organized labour could be reached.

Also, the Director General of Cross River State Management Agency (SERMA), Angela Odey said the exercise will touch over 9,609 household.
