Cross River residents commends Governor Otu for concrete pavement roads

Some residents in Cross River State have commended Governor Bassey Otu for constructing concrete pavement roads in some parts of Càlabar Municipality and Càlabar South.

The State Commissioner for Information, Erasmus Ekpang told newsmen on Friday in Calabar during a facility tour of some of the projects by the present administration, that the state government decided to test run these roads for the benefits of the people.

He said the gesture was in keeping with the state government policy’s of the people’s first agenda.

The construction of concrete pavement roads infrastructure was adopted in Nyon Eden, Murren Ntai Umor Orok, as a way of putting a lasting legacy

A resident of Umor Orok Bassey Ndem commended the Governor Bassey Otu for concrete pavement roads infrastructure.

Engineer Nta disclosed that before now, this road had caused the collapsing of buildings, adding that 1-5km road was constructed through direct labour.

A community leader. Emmanuel Orok said the mini-bridge had caused many accident before the coming of Governor Otu led administration.

The project tour took the Commissioner to Soya acade, where the project is about 90 percent completed. He therefore advised the people to make judicious use of the facilities.
