Easter: FRSC deploys over 600 personnel in Taraba

As Christians commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ across the World, the Federal Road Safety Corps of Nigeria (FRSC) Taraba State Sector Command has deployed over six hundred officers and men across the state to ensure free flow of traffic during the Easter period.

The Sector Commander, Abdulmaliq Bello disclosed this during an exclusive interview with NATIONAL ACCORD at the FRSC headquarters in Jalingo Taraba State.

He said the aim is to curb high volume of traffic, monitor reckless driving, ensure every driver has driving license, up to date motor particulars and prevent road clashes during the Easter celebration.

According to him, over 300 personnel are deployed in Wukari, 8 personnel in Zing and support with vehicle, others are in strategic areas, and on the border of Taraba State.

Bello stressed that under his leadership, he established new units command in Zing, Bali and Takum and provide vehicles for effective operation and to render emergency services, increase manpower within Mutum Biu and support them with vehicle.

The FRSC boss, however, appealed to drivers to maintain speed limit, avoid careless driving, drunkenness and obey highway driving rules, ensure the vehicle tyres are in good condition.
