Gombe clash: Tangale Waja Pastors Forum preaches gospel of peace, commends Gov. Yahaha for interventions

Last week’s clash in Gombe State which claimed lives and property worth millions of naira has received empathy from far and near from concerned citizens of the state within and outside, especially, the Tangale Waja Pastors and stakeholders, all in an effort to resolve and reconcile the conflict on Saturday.

Tangale Waja Pastors Forum (TWPF) as stakeholders in Gombe State has finally held a reconciliatory meeting with all the stakeholders and top government officials and their representatives with a view to broker peace among the conflicting communities and forge ahead peacefully.

The forum under the Chairmanship of Rev. Lewi Tuta in a joint statement issued Saturday with the Secretary of the forum, Rev. Zakka Danfullo Tangal Waja on behalf other Pastors and the Forum members issued a communique on resolutions reached at the end of the Meeting Held in Billiri town of Billiri LGA, of Gombe State.

The communique reads in part: According to meeting held by the Tangale Waja Pastors Forum (TWPF) on 12th November 2021. Members of the group directed Rev. Lewi Tuta to inform the general public that our resolution as contained in this communique on behalf of the pastors and members of the Churches in Tangale Waja; “

“We condemn in strong terms the crisis that took place on November 5, 2021, between Tunfure leading to city centre which claimed the lives of our children and destructions assets running into millions of naira”.

“We calls out loudly that every politician in Gombe to operate within his constituency and position that God has given him or her.

“We call on the esteemed Governor of Gombe State, Inuwa Yahaha, a peace advocate and outstanding politician who has dedicated himself for progress of Gombe State at various levels to remain focused”.

“The group also called on the security agencies to ensure that all those involved in the tragedy are brought to justice as soon as possible”, the statement stated.
