Gunmen suspected to be Kidnappers have abducted a Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Oliver Buba.
Fr. Buba was abducted on Tuesday in his residence in Numan Local Government Area of the Adamawa State.
Confirming the incident, the Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocese, Most Rev. Stephen Mamza, said the diocese had already committed the priest to the powerful intercession of God for his immediate release from his abductors.
Bishop Mamza, further, solicited prayers from the Christian faithful and the general public for divine intervention.
Meanwhile, the police command in the state has confirmed the kidnapping incident.
The command’s spokesman, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said in a statement on Wednesday that the command had deployed a rescue team to the forest for his rescue and rescued.
