May 29: AIG deploys more security operatives to Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara

With less than 48 hours to May 29th, the day of inaugurating new leaders in Nigeria, the Assistant Inspectors General (AIG) in charge of Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara States, Bello Sani Danlijan has assured of adequate security measure in the states.

AIG Danlijan, who stated this on Friday while addressing newsmen in Sokoto at the headquarters of Zone 10, said police operatives have been beefed up after the 2023 elections.

The police boss appealed to the public to cooperate with security agencies to help rid their communities of criminals.

He said: “We have reinforced the three state commands with additional manpower by deploying officers and men of the zone across the three states”.

“The Inauguration ceremonies at the three states have been catered for security wise. As I have directed Command Commissioners of Police and other sister security agencies to carry out heavy deployments to fortify venues of the Inauguration ceremonies in their various states”.

AIG Dalijan noted that they are working in synergy with the states government, private sectors and other security agencies to provide security within the zone before, during and after the inauguration ceremony.

The AIG, however, advised the members of the public to be security conscious and report any suspicious incidents or happenings observed within their neighbourhood to the nearest police station
