Support groups launch door-to-door campaign for Tinubu/Shettima in Nasarawa

As the February general elections draw closer, over 365 Independent Campaign Council (ICC) support groups in Nasarawa State, have commenced door to door campaigns for Tinubu/Shettima.

The state Coordinator for Tinubu/Shettima Grassroot Independent Campaign Council, Hon Yusuf Omaki, disclosed this at the launch of the campaign in Nasarawa South, in Lafia on Tuesday.

According to Omaki, the Flag off of the campaign, which is just 25 days to the election was strategic, aimed at boosting , rejuvenating and re-envigorate the chances of the APC, it’s presidential candidate and Governor Abdullahi Sule.

He said: “The groups would work relentlessly to ensure victory for All Progressives Congress Presidential candidate, Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice, Kashim Shettima in the forthcoming 2023 general elections”.

“The door to door sensitisation campaign began in the western zone, followed by northern zone and now we are in the southern zone of Nasarawa state”.

Omaki who is also the Deputy Director North Central Support Groups Co-ordinator, Presidential Campaign Council, said all the support groups in the north central would work in synergy with one another within and outside the state to ensure victory for Tinubu and Shettima.

“As you can see, this people here are members of Independent campaign council, they are all support groups, we have 365 support groups in Nasarawa state.They come together to be sensitised towards the door to door campaign for Tinubu/ Shettima, they will take message from here back home to our supporters for proper grassroots mobilization and sensitization,” Otarki stated.

Sen. Umaru Tanko Almakura, while speaking at the occasion, expressed confidence that the groups would work together to add value to political success of Tinubu/Shettima, Gov Abdullahi Sule and other APC candidates in the state.

While, assuring that Tinubu/Shettima would garner over 60 percent votes in Nasarawa State, Almakura said that APC, has taken into cognizance the value of gender position in its political manifestos, describing the party presidential candidate as gender sensitive.

“So far so good, you can see the caliber of people who are here, these are people who will galvanized votes the party will need to win an election, we have former commissioners, former reps, former assembly members and former Government officials working for APC successes in Nasarawa State” he said.
