Taraba LG poll: IPAC cautions against thuggery, weapons during campaign

The Chairman Intra Party Advisory Council (IPAC) Taraba State Chapter, Hon. Kuriya Tafarki Auta has warned against the use of political thuggery and dangerous weapons during campaign.

Hon Kuriya made the appeal when interacting with our correspondent in Jalingo, Taraba State,

He said IPAC is the umbrella body that oversees the affairs of political parties in the state.

He frowned at the manner some political parties violate the code of conduct guiding IPAC, election campaign and engage the services of thugs to disrupt elections.

Kuriya warned that any political party promoting thuggery, hate speech and abuse on their opponents will be handed over to the police for disciplinary actions.

According to him, all the chairmen of political parties at Local Government level were invited for a meeting to ensure that the forthcoming Taraba State Local Government Elections is free and fair.
