Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu has said few months into his administration, there are verifiable evidences that the state is on course towards birthing a new state.

The governor, who spoke before declaring open the third executive council meeting at the State Chamber of Government House today, appealed for objective contributions by all members to enable his administration deliver on the 9-point agenda promised to the State.

“”I must confess without any fear of contradiction that we are on course. And we thank God that, now we are fulfilling our campaign promises.

“”We promised the entire people of Sokoto state that we are going to have a new State. And thank God, the state is undergoing a new transformation”, he said.

While welcoming the executive council members to the meeting, Governor Aliyu said “the council is a platform were issues that have direct bearing to the lives of the people of the state is discussed”.

Appealing to council members that he cannot do it alone, the governor urged all executive council members to be sincere, objective, and contribute positively for the success of his administration, adding,”I cannot do it alone, but together we will succeed”.

The governor, further, noted that he will do everything humanly possible amd with help from God to deliver on his promises.

“‘I am the pilot of the plane and I will fly carefully. And by God’s grace, we will land at the promised land safely”, he said.
