Zulum congratulates Dangote on Senegal’s national honor

Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has extended warm felicitation to Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, on his receipt of Senegal’s highest national honor, “the National Order of the Lion,” from President Macky Sall.

Governor Zulum conveyed his best wishes to Aliko Dangote on Saturday in a statement issued by Abdulmuminu Bundi , the Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media and made available to newsmen on Saturday.

He said Senegal’s President honoring Alhaji Aliko is a testament to his dedication, perseverance and selfless commitment to the betterment of society and humanity.”

The governor also eulogized in the Alhaji Aliko Dangote’s tremendous contributions to Borno state IDPs and state government which include construction of houses, reconstruction of schools and provision sources of water supply as well as roads and drainages aming other relief materials as humanitarian support across Borno state during the post insurgency rebuilding and recovery efforts.

“Today, we celebrate not only a business tycoon but also a visionary leader who has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the progress and prosperity of our beloved people,” Zulum said.

It will be recalled that Senegalese Government instituted National Order of the Lion (NOL) National merit award on October 22, 1960 which awarded many such awards to both civilians and military personnel that have offered exceptional services to Senegal Republic remarkably and Alhaji Aliko Dangote as a business mogul and philanthropist benefitted from such recognition and award.
