
NYSC members

The Director-General of the the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) , Major General Shuaibu Ibrahim, has charged corp members in the country to be proactive in the discharge of their duties during their service year.
Maj. Gen. gave the charge on Tuesday while declaring close the batch A stream one orientation course which took place at the Magaji Dan Yamusa permanent orientation camp in Keffi, Nasarawa State.
Represented by the Nasarawa State Coordinator of the NYSC, Mallam Abdulahi Ahmad Jikamishi, the Director-General noted that Federal Government attached much importance to the services rendered by the corp members and advised prospective employees to make judicious use of them as they have been well trained.
While noting that the corp members are committed to offering their best in the service year, The DG stressed that their welfare should also be given priority, while calling on ministries, agencies and parastatals to create enabling environment for them to operate.
Highlights of the event was the commendation of one of the corp member, who has dedicated herself to duty in ensuring that there is free flow of communication signals on camp. She was presented with merit certificate for excellent service year.
