Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, recently received in audience the Group Chief Executive of Standard Chartered PLC, Bill Winters, at the NNPC Towers in Abuja.
Discussions centred on financing opportunities for NNPC Ltd.’s growth plans and its repositioning as a commercially run national energy company, as stipulated in the provisions of the Petroleum Industry Act (2021).
In his remarks, Ojulari highlighted NNPC Ltd.’s 2030 targets, stressing that the Company is vigorously pursuing them while setting its operating standards in line with those of leading global producers.
On his part, Winters commended NNPC Ltd.’s commercial focus and the clarity of its strategy, reaffirming Standard Chartered’s long-term commitment to Nigeria’s energy sector and, in particular, supporting NNPC Limited’s business expansion through its vast global investor network and structured finance expertise.
