
Mai-Mala Buni, Yobe State Governor

Due to the notable progress made in restoring peace and security in Potiskum, Gashua, and Nguru, Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has announced a five-hour relaxation of the curfew in these towns.
This welcome development was shared by the Special Adviser to the governor on Security Matters, Retired Brig.-Gen. Dahiru Abdulsalam, in a statement released on Sunday in Damaturu.
Starting Sunday, the curfew will now be in effect from noon to 5 pm, allowing residents to pursue their daily activities without hindrance.
Governor Buni commended the security agencies for their tireless efforts in achieving this milestone and encouraged them to continue their vigilant work in maintaining law and order during the relaxed curfew hours.
He enjoined the residents to cooperate with security personnel and report any suspicious activities.
He assured the public of government’s continued commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all citizens.
