Earlier, Natasha Osawaru, the music icon’s wife, shared a touching tribute on Instagram for his golden jubilee. Osawaru, the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo House of Assembly, called her husband “one of the greatest gifts ever.”
She wrote: “Happy birthday to the love of my life. You are 50!!!!! Oh wow!!!!!! You spaced me with 20 years and you look younger than I do… Innocent Ujah Idibia my husband… words cannot express the joy you’ve brought into my life. My joy is complete with you in it.”
She added, “Baby I want to spend each day loving you and caring for you for the rest of my life. I love you and happy birthday my baby @official2baba.”
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Innocent Idibia, born on September 18, 1975, is from the Idoma ethnic group in Benue State.
He rose to fame as a member of the hip-hop group Plantashun Boyz, which released two albums in the early 2000s before splitting in 2004.
Following the group’s breakup, 2Baba embarked on a solo career, debuting with his 2004 album _“Face 2 Face”_. His global breakthrough came with the 2004 hit single _“African Queen,”_ which earned him multiple awards.
His achievements include an MTV Europe Music Award, MTV Africa Music Awards, MOBO Awards, and Nigeria Entertainment Awards, among others.
