President Bola Tinubu and Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas
Taraba State chapter of the City Boy Movement has officially declared its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas ahead of the 2027 general elections, describing both leaders as experienced and performance-driven.
The endorsement was made by the Taraba State Commissioner for Information and Reorientation, Barr. Zainab Jalingo, who also serves as the state coordinator of the movement. She said both Tinubu and Kefas have demonstrated leadership capacity that continues to yield visible results for citizens.
According to her, Governor Kefas and President Tinubu remain the most competent choices for continued leadership in both Taraba State and Nigeria.
Barr. Jalingo praised Governor Kefas for what she described as a people-focused governance style, especially highlighting his free education policy, which she said has significantly eased the financial burden on families across the state.
She noted that the initiative has enabled thousands of children to return to school, describing it as a major intervention that has restored hope to parents and improved access to education.
She further explained that many households in Taraba are already experiencing the positive effects of the administration’s reforms, stressing that the education policy is helping to secure a brighter future for children in the state.
On the agricultural sector, she commended the governor’s efforts to strengthen food production and support farmers, particularly in rural communities, saying the initiatives are gradually improving livelihoods and boosting economic activity.
Security, according to her, has also seen notable improvements under the Kefas administration, making the state more stable and attractive for investment and development.
Speaking on President Tinubu’s administration, Barr. Jalingo expressed confidence in his leadership direction at the national level, describing his policies as strategic steps toward long-term economic stability and growth.
She said: “On the national level, we have confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership, his policies are laying the foundation for long-term economic growth and national stability.
“The combination of Governor Agbu Kefas’ grassroots impact and President Tinubu’s national vision makes them the best candidates moving forward.
She urged residents of Taraba State and Nigerians to support continuity in governance, arguing that sustained leadership would deepen ongoing reforms and deliver greater development outcomes across the country.
