Nigeria records 111 new COVID-19 cases

Nigeria’s total COVID-19 infections climbed to 62,964 with the confirmation of 111 new cases on Sunday.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), which announced this on its official twitter handle @NCDCgov, also put the total number of discharged cases at 58,790 and 1,146 deaths since the outbreak of the Coronavirus in the country early this year.

According to the health agency, the 111 new cases were recorded from eighth states of the Federation including the Federal Capital Territory ((FCT).

It gave the breakdown of the new cases as follows: Lagos-49 FCT-30 Rivers-11 Plateau-10 Ogun-4 Kaduna-3 Oyo-3 and Osun-1.
