Chief Executive Officer of First Rotech, Mr. Austin Oguejiofor, has revealed that the Abuja Airport Garden City will boast over 3,000 contemporary homes equipped with top-tier amenities.
Mr. Oguejiofor spoke on Thursday during a site inspection in Abuja,
Spanning 250 hectares in the Gousa District, the development is poised to become a benchmark for aesthetic excellence and architectural innovation in sub-Saharan Africa.
“The Abuja Airport Garden City is designed to be one of the finest in terms of aesthetics and quality architectural design,” Oguejiofor stated during the visit, which included officials from the Federal Capital Development Authority’s Engineering Department.
The project aims to alleviate Abuja’s housing shortage while creating a modern living environment with superior infrastructure.
Oguejiofor emphasized that the development will transform Gousa District into a dynamic, well-connected community, significantly boosting Abuja’s growth.
A key feature of the project includes a 40-kilometer network of internal roads, with a major access road currently under construction.
“The access road is our priority, connecting the city center to the project site,” Oguejiofor noted, highlighting its role in reducing travel time from central Abuja to the Airport Garden City by approximately 10 minutes.
This road, linking to the Idu Railway Station, will also provide a shorter route from districts like Garki, Maitama, and Wuye, enhancing connectivity and fostering rapid development in the area.
Oguejiofor further confirmed that the project has received approval from relevant authorities, with the ongoing inspection focused on assessing progress on the access road near Idu Railway Station.
“This development will open up Gousa District and provide a more efficient route to the airport,” he told reporters.
