
Chelsea Football Club advanced to the next round of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup with a dominant 3-0 win over Esperance de Tunisie.
The London-based English Premier League side scored three late goals, two in each half, to seal their victory.
Tosin Adarabioyo got Chelsea into the lead three minutes into the first-half stoppage time with a well-taken goal. New signing Liam Delap doubled the lead just seconds before the break, putting Chelsea in a commanding 2-0 lead going into halftime.
The match saw several missed opportunities for Chelsea, including chances for Christopher Nkunku and Noni Madueke.
However, Tyrique George sealed the win for Chelsea on the stroke of the seventh added time, making it 3-0.
The win sets up a knockout stage match against Benfica for Chelsea.
The London-based side will look to build on their dominant performance against Esperance de Tunisie as they seek to progress further in the competition.
