IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu, and his lawyers in court in one of the proceedings at Federal High Court in Abuja
An Abuja magistrate court has ordered the remand of Aloy Ejimakor, legal counsel to detained IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, along with 12 others, at the Kuje Correctional Centre.
The group was arrested during a protest held on Monday and spearheaded by activist Omoyele Sowore, demanding an end to Kanu’s prolonged trial and detention.

Police have filed charges against the 13 individuals, accusing them of criminal conspiracy, incitement, disobedience of lawful orders, and disturbing public peace — offences allegedly breaching sections 152, 114, and 113 of the Penal Code.
Among those remanded is Emmanuel Kanu, Nnamdi Kanu’s younger brother.
The magistrate ordered that all defendants remain in custody until their formal arraignment scheduled for October 24.
