COVID-19: NCDC reports 13 new cases, confirms first case in Kano

EHIME ALEX, Lagos 

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Saturday reported 13 new cases of the COVID-19 infection in the country.

It also reported that Kano State recorded the first case of the coronavirus infection.

Now, the Federal Capital Territory and 19 other states of the federation are seriously battling to contain the spread of the virus, even as NCDC said confirmed cases have risen to 318 in the country.

On its verified Twitter handle, NCDC stated also that of the 13 new cases, Lagos recorded 11 while Delta and Kano recorded one each.

The tweet reads, “13 new cases of #COVID19 have been reported; 11 in Lagos, 1 in Delta & 1 in Kano

“As at 9:30pm 11th April there are 318 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. 70 have been discharged with 10 deaths.

“There are 19 states with confirmed cases in Nigeria.”
