End of 9th NASS: Sen. Degi appreciates Jonathan, Sylva, constituents

Lawmaker representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District, Sen. Degi Eremienyo has issued a message of appreciation to his constituents for granting him the mandate to serve in the 9th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He described it as four eventful years of properly articulating and presenting the demands and aspirations of the great people of the senatorial district, Bayelsa State and indeed the Nation at red chamber.

Senator Degi, who issued the message shortly after the valedictory session of the 9th Senate in Abuja, sincerely appreciated the the good will of Brass, Nembe and Ogbia people, specifically acknowledging the uncommon love and cooperation from the Former Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, His Excellency Chief Timipre Sylva, whose encouragement and support contributed in no small measure in actualizing his political dreams and campaign promises to the senatorial district.

He also expressed appreciation to former President Goodluck Jonathan for his support and occasional encouragement during his stay in the 9th National Assembly.

The senator, further, stated that he will always remember the wise counsel from other prominent political opinion leaders and chiefs especially the traditional royal fathers of Nembe, Ogbia and Brass LGAs of Bayelsa State for their Royal blessings and prayers for the past four years and beyond.

Senator Degi, believed that his outstanding legacy achievements in the areas of sponsorship of bills and motions including attracting people oriented critical infrastructural development projects; youths and women empowerment programmes cutting across the nine constituencies in Bayelsa East will have an enduring impact on the lives of the people.

The Senator thanked all his teeming supporters and admirers who voted for him in the 25th February, 2023 Senatorial election and urged them to keep hope alive, trust in Almighty God even as he seeks redress at the National and State Assembly Election Petition tribunal holding in Yenagoa.
