Safeguarding your greatness – Part 1 By LINDA ASIMOLE ELLAH

What is Greatness?

In every life God created there’s a deposit of greatness. For Joseph, that deposit was the gift of dreams. Your key to greatness might usher you through crisis before bringing you to greatness. The deposit of greatness can be submerged, exchanged, drowned, stolen or dimmed.

Greatness does not usually begin great. So don’t despise little beginnings. Nothing is worse than sincere ignorance; it is a disaster. Truth is very powerful. Only the truth you know can work for you. You must seek knowledge. Use what you have now to get what you need for the future.

Don’t feel too big to start small. A little person who is diligent will never remain small.
God will not give you your own if you don’t prove yourself reliable as an apprentice. Your present is the key to the future. Your future Greatness is the future you have now.

It takes just a little key to open a great door, great house. If you want to be great, begin to be diligent with what you do now. You cannot receive a double portion from a master you never served.

15 Keys to Greatness

According to Dr Daniel K. Olukoya, founder and general overseer of MFM (Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries), there are 15 keys to greatness, and they are as follows:

1. Find God. Drop everything. Give him your all. “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need” – Mathew 6:33.

  1. Marry the right person: This will determine 90% of your success or sorrow. Don’t marry a fire extinguisher.
  2. Be forgiving. Don’t put malice in your heart. It pollutes your life.
  3. Be generous. Give unto God cheerfully and generously. The children of the generous can never suffer.
  4. Have a grateful heart. Appreciate those who have kept you. Don’t be an ingrate. Ingrates don’t become great! Things may not be as you want now but be grateful for what you have now.
  5. Be persistent. Don’t quit in a hurry. Keep your prayer altar on. Keep your service for God on. Be keen on Prayer, read the Word of God and keep evangelism on. Don’t give up. Blind Bartimaeus shouted louder when he was told to keep quiet.
  6. Treat everyone you meet like you want to be treated. Treat people nicely. The golden rule.
  7. Commit yourself to constant improvement.
  8. Commit yourself to excellence and quality.
  9. Be loyal whenever you are.  Disloyal people can never be great. Remain truthful even if you’re not favored.
  10. Be honest. In Leviticus 19:35-36, God commands that we have honest scales, meaning we shouldn’t cheat. In Zechariah 8:16-17, God commands us to speak truth to our neighbor. Also, in John 4:23-24, God says He is seeking for true worshipers that will worship Him in Spirit and in truth.
  11. Be prayerful. No prayer is wasted. Every prayer does something. Something is happening.
  12. Be holy. Don’t play with sin it will affect you. Sin denies you God’s favour and blessings. “You welcome those who gladly do right, who remember Your ways. Surely You were angry, for we sinned. How can we be saved if we remain in our sins?” – Isaiah 64:5.
  13. Be a bible addict. Read/study God’s Word every day. Know God’s word for yourself, and you shall gain much of God’s wisdom.
  14. Deal with your foundation. Evil foundations, ancestral altars and shrines, and evil covenants have a way of keeping you down. Without deliverance from your evil foundations, you will not be able to possess your possession. “But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions” – Obadiah 1:17.

God has destined you for greatness. God has already chosen us even before we were born to achieve greatness in life. Even though you have been destined for greatness, greatness is activated when you are saved and when you start walking with God (Prayray.com)

Prayer

O Lord, you are great, great beyond measure. Because you are great, you are greatly to be praised, praised beyond measure. We cannot begin to find the words to reflect your greatness. But we use all that we have to glorify you.

Lord, I thank you because I have been selected by you for elevation. I thank you because you have plans for me and they are plans for greatness. I’m solely depending on you for promotion, spiritually, physically, in my career, at my place of work, and in my education, and Lord, let your plan come to pass in my life. Amen.
