We’ve no intention of leaving Cross River over raw materials – Flour Mills Nigeria Plc

The General Manager, Flour Mills Nigeria PLC, Olusegun Falade, has said the company never threatened to leave Cross River State over raw materials.

Mr. Falade stated this in an interview with newsmen in his office over the weekend while reacting to an allegation that the company plans to leave the state.

It would be recall that the Chairman House Committee on Agriculture and member representing Boki1state Constituency, Hon Bette Philip, had alleged that Flour Mills Nigeria PLC is threatening to leave the state due to non availability of raw materials.

He said his Committee mandate is to oversight the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. We are Working in tandem with the Ministry of Agriculture to change the tide.

Reacting to the allegation, the General Manager wonder why the Chairman House Committee on Agriculture should come up with such information that Flour Mills Nigeria PLC is threatening to leave Cross River State because of raw materials.

According to him, we source our raw materials abroad through the Calabar Port, you can see the containers coming in by your self.

“As we speak, we source all our raw materials from abroad look at the containers, they are not from Cross River.

“We have no intention of leaving Cross River State. We don’t have to source our raw materials from here.
