Easter: CP deploys officers for maximum security in Benue

The Commissioner of Police, Benue State Command, CP. Emmanuel Adesina has ordered the deployment of officers across the state to ensure maximum security of lives and property during the Easter celebration.

A statement by the command’s PPRO, Sewuese Anene Catherine, said the CP directed all Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders and Divisional Police officers to deploy personnel and other resources to strategic places mapped out in their areas of responsibility, particularly, churches, parks, event centres, entry and exit routes in the state.

Officers deployed on the high ways, according to the statement were directed to be more vigilant and remain courteous while carrying out their duty.

CP Adesina felicitated with the good people of Benue state, particularly Christians on the occasion of Easter celebration.

He enjoined Christians to pray for God’s protection and peace upon Benue state.

According to the statement, religious leaders, traditional leaders, parents and guidances were advised to warn their children and wards against practices that were unlawful in the course of their celebration.
