Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas has approved the appointment of new welfare board members to safeguard and pilots the activities of Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board and Christians Pilgrims Welfare Board in the State.
The governor’s approval is contained in a statement by the Secretary to Taraba State Government, Barr. Timothy Kataps.
According to the statement, Malam Umar Gambo Sufi would serve as the Chairman.of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
Alh. Aliyu Umar Nyeke, Mal. Yunusa Muhammad Agyo, Mal. Abubakar Imam Kpantiburi, Malam Bashi Aliyu Gassol, Alh. Armiyau Muhammad Maihanci, Alh. Sani Modibbo, Mal. Muhammad Buba, Barr. Bakari Ibrahim, Jamal Abdulnasir and Mal. Abdullahi Sani Mamman are to serve as members of Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
While the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board has Rev. Moses Aliyuda as Chairman.
Others to serve as members are Micah Philip Dopah, Rev. Dr. Duna Nelson, Most. Elijah Jegede, Bro. Vincent Hella, Evang. Ephesian Jesse, Father Mathias Akough, Mrs. Mercy Sambo, Danladi Wuniji Jecob, Hon. Philomena Yavala and Hon. Margret Bako.
The statement further disclosed that all the appointments are with immediate effect.k
