The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has called for the immediate cancellation of the ongoing All Progressives Congress, (APC) membership registration and revalidation exercise.
Alhaji Lai Mohammed made the call while speaking with journalists shortly after revalidating his membership of the party in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The minister, who said the exercise was marred with irregularities, also called for “immediate disbandment of the Senator John Danboi-led membership registration committee for the state.
However, the chairman Kwara state chapter of the All Progressives Congress ( APC), Alhaji Abdullahi Samari in a statement in Ilorin, commended the minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, for revalidating his APC membership status in the state.
He said the minister’s registration has puts an end to claims that party members were not allowed to take part in the exercise.
Alhaji Samari commended the decision of Alhaji Lai Mohammed to embrace the process and join the teeming members of the party who are revalidating their membership at their respective polling units.
He also expressed appreciation to Senator John Danboi-led committee from the APC Headquarters Abuja for ensuring the exercise is peaceful across the state.
