A total of 136 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) were recorded in Nigeria across 13 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Monday.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), this brings to 58,460 the number of confirmed infections in the country.
The health agency also said in a post on its twitter handle, NCDC@NCDCgov Monday night that of the 58,460 infections, 49,895 had been successfully treated and discharged while 1,111 deaths had been recorded since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria.
It added that the 136 new cases were recorded from Lagos-71, Rivers-23, and Plateau-12.
The remaining cases came from Adamawa-6, Oyo-6, Kaduna-5, Abia-3, FCT-3, Katsina-2, Kwara-2, Bauchi-1, Borno-1, and Edo-1.
