Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has approved the appointment of Professor Haruna Dantoro Dlakwa as the acting Vice Chancellor of Borno State University, Maiduguri.
Dlakwa’s appointment was contained in a statement released by the Secretary to Borno State Government (SSG), Hon. Bukar Tijani, on Wednesday in Maiduguri.
The statement noted that Zulum’s approval follows the recommendation of the university’s governing council after its 10th meeting held on 15 April, 2024.
Professor Dlakwa until his appointment as the new Vice Chancellor Borno State University (BISU) he is the deputy vice-chancellor academic services at Borno State University until this appointment.
The SSG said, Governor Zulum has extended warm congratulations to Professor Haruna Dantoro Dlakwa and expects the best until the substantive Vice-Chancellor is appointed for the University.
