1,937 NYSC members pass out at Nasarawa orientation camp

A total of one thousand, nine hundred and thirty seven (1937) NYSC members on Thursday participated in the national orientation camp Passing Out Parade (POP) which has the Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe in attendance.

The event took place at the Magaji Dan Yamusa NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Keffi located along Keffi- Abuja express road.

It witnessed parade of guard inspected by the representative of the Deputy Governor, Mr.Lucky Isaac Yagua, who is the commissioner for Sports, Nasarawa State and Chairman governing council of the NYSC in the state.

Speaking at the event, the Nasarawa State Coordinator of the NYSC, Abdulahi Jikamshi expressed happiness for the presence of the deputy governor and stated that the closing ceremony of the NYSC 2022 Batch “A” stream 11 have received a thorough training manually and physically which has equiped them to face the task ahead as they go to their areas of primary assignment.

The state commandant, who decried the lack of a multi-purpose hall for camp training activities, called for an immediate intervention from the state government.

He charged corps members whom he said has exhibited high level of discipline while on camp and expressed the hope that they will do same when they go for their primary assignment.

He further advised the corps members to observe security rules by not traveling at night and unauthorized journey.

Earlier in his speech, The Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State commended the corps members for their resilience while on camp and assured management of the camp of government readiness to assist in developing the camp.
