2023: Group passes vote of confidence on all PDP candidates in Sokoto

A group known as The Sokoto Network for Good Governance has passed vote of confidence on all candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Addressing a world press conference on Sunday in Sokoto, the convener general, Comrade Faruk Gada, said the PDP has 74 percent support base in Sokoto, hence, it is in better position to win all elective positions in Sokoto in the forthcoming general elections.

According to Comrade Faruk, the network used survey, interviews, questionnaire, media presence and as well as social media viability in conjunction with cluster sample across the local government areas of the state to arrive at the conclusion.

While noting that the network is a connectivity of people of like minds that are concerned on issues of politics and good governance which they believed remains the key towards having a development inclined state and country at large.

Giving their position, Comrade Faruk said, “”Having conducted a meticulous assessment of all the major political parties who made themselves available for consideration in he forth coming general election, we came to the conclusion that, the only party that is undoubtedly ready to bring the much needed progress ad development in this country and particularly Sokoto is no other than the Peoples Democratic Party.

“This decision we arrived at after following keenly the general posture and postulations of all the parties on the ballot before we came to the conclusion that PDP is the only party that is glaringly prepared for the daunting task of rebuilding the nation”.

Comrade Faruk therefore, said: “Sokoto network is here to pass a vote condolence and a vote of trust on H.E The Executive Governor of Sokoto State, the chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum and the Director General of Atiku/Okowa campaign, Rt Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal cfr Matawallen Sokoto”.

The group also noted that the degree of insecurity, harsh economy, unemployment, poverty, nepotism, and deteriorating state of general affairs in the country today makes the PDP as a better alternative to the ruling APC at the federal level, while calling on the people of Sokoto state to support the Ubandoma/Sagir 2023 governorship bid for continuity of good governance.
