The Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), General Lucky Leo Irabor, has commended the successes recorded by the troops of Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai Theater Command Headquarters, Maimalari Cantonment, Maiduguri.
The CDS further urged the troops to maintain the tempo and expedite efforts to professionally end the war against insurgency and to restore permanent peace in the north east region, Lake Chad Basin and all other parts of the country.
He said: “The Defence Headquarters will not relent in its efforts and commitment to protect and defend the sovereign and integrity of the nation no matter what it takes.”
General Irabor stated on Thursday after his indoor meeting with GOCs, Brigade Commanders and units commanders of North East JTF Operation Haɗin Kai Headquarters Theater Command.
He said he was impressed with the briefings given to him on the general operations and successes recorded , saying,” it is a remarkable achievement so far so good”.
The Defence Chief also conveyed presidential salute from President Muhammadu Buhari who appreciated the gallantry of the troops at the warfront of the counter insurgency operations.
He also thanked the media for their objective coverage of the military activities.
The CDS who led other Service Chiefs to the theater command Headquarters Maidugiri on operational visit arrived Maiduguri international airport around 10 am and moved straight for the indoor meeting at the North East JTF Theater Command Conference hall. They were received by Major Gen. I. S. Ibrahim.
