The Director General, Benue Public Service Institute, Professor Terkura Tarnande has sought collaboration with Benue State Judiciary to enable the system work for the benefit of the Benue people.
Professor Tarnande, who spoke during a courtesy call on the Chief Judge of Benue State, Justice Maurice Ikpambese, expressed the belief that the collaboration between the Institute and the Judiciary would contribute in the achievement of the seven point agenda of the Governor Alia administration.
The DG said the Institute has started training of civil servants adding that the staff of the judiciary would also be trained to enable them acquire the required knowledge for better performance.
Prof Tarnande, who appreciated the Benue State Governor for the opportunity to serve explained that the Institute would not only serve the state as it would equally serve the neighbouring states of the federation.
Determined to upgrade the capacity of people at the local government, the DG further disclosed that plans were being made to train the elected local government officials.
He revealed the enthusiasm of the management team of the Institute to achieve the mandate of the Institute insisting that all stakeholders were to ensure the success of the Institute.
Responding, the Chief Judge of Benue State expressed his readiness to collaborate with the Institute to perform maximally.
Justice Ikpambese, who promised total partnership with the Institute, noted with happiness the establishment of the Institute saying that the Institute would actually build the capacity of the civil servants to enable them contribute to the development of the state.
He expressed satisfaction with the Professor Tarnande led Institute saying Tarnande has never failed in any responsibility and believed that he would also excel as the DG of the Institute.
