Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has lauded Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State for his foresight and visionary leadership style .
“I wish to state that there is no vacancy in Kebbi State Government House by 2027,” Zulum said.
He made the remark in Birnin Kebbi, this Thursday, at a book launch in honour of Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, entitled, ‘Mr. Project‘.

A statement issued and signed by Yahaya Sarki, the Special Adviser (SA) on Media and Publicity to the Kebbi State Governor made available to newsmen on Friday in Maiduguri said Professor Zulum also donated N50 million to the book launch.
He said peace and security remain the foundation upon which growth and prosperity are attained.
Zulum appealed to the people of Kebbi to strengthen unity, remain peaceful and continue to support Governor Nasir Idris to serve them better and sustain the good work he is doing.

“Your Governor has humility, integrity and generosity, I am here in Kebbi because of his credibility”,
“I have inspected projects executed by my brother, Nasir Idris, Kebbi has recorded tremendous growth under his stewardship”, Zulum said.

The governor added ,”The book being launched is a reference for younger generation politicians and leaders to imbibe transparency and focus”,
“Within 18 months, Comrade Nasir Idris has transformed the state into radiance and development”,
“The Chief Launcher, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, is in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Federal assignment assignment and would proceed to the Sanctuary of Makkah, to perform lesser hajja (Umrah).
“The Minister has however sent a donation of N50 million, while my humble self is donating N10 million”, Jarma announced.
The National Organising Secretary of the APC, Suleiman Muhammad Argungu, who represented the Chief Launcher, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Sen. Atiku Bagudu, rated Governor Nasir Idris, as the hero of the ruling party among his peers.
“We at the APC National Secretariat wonder where the Kebbi Governor gets the money to do the job, he is highly resourceful”,Argungu said
Chairman of the occasion, former Internal Affairs Minister, Maj-Gen. Muhammadu Magoro, (rtd), believed that Comrade Nasir Idris, has excelled in governance and implementation of projects within a short period, unparalleled since 1999 in Nigeria.
Gen. Magoro used the opportunity to demand for justice and equity on the issue of the New Tax Bills.
He commended Northern Governors for adopting a common position on the Bills, suggesting that the Governors should immediately convene a meeting with all members of the National Assembly from the North to strengthen their position.
The Guest Speaker, Professor Bello Bada of the Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto, identified Kebbi Governor, Nasir Idris and his Borno counterpart, Prof. Zulum as great achievers in projects execution.
“As an Academic, we are not known for praise singing, but Governor Nasir Idris, has performed creditably that deserves commendation and encomiums”, Professor Bada said.
The Book Reviewer, the Vice Chancellor, Rayhaan University, Birnin Kebbi, Professor Muhammadu Lawal Ahmadu, recommended the book to students of contemporary current affairs, which is also an archival material.
“Nasir Idris is an epitome of rapid development, which is the hallmark of the book, the book should serve as companion to all lovers of progress’, Professor Ahmadu remarked.
Kebbi deputy Governor, Sen. Umar Abubakar Tafida, who donated N50 million to the book launch, affirmed loyalty and support to Governor Nasir Idris, to consolidate on the record of achievement attained and beyond.
Senator Muhammad Adamu Alieru of Kebbi Central, described Governor Nasir Idris, as man of the moment, and donated N15 million to the event on behalf of the three Senators from Kebbi State.
Chairman of the Organising Committee, Special Adviser on Power and Politics to the Governor, Kabir Sani Giant, explained that, the book highlighted philosophy of governance, transparency, accountability, purposeful leadership and inclusivity of Governor Nasir Idris.
Governor Idris, who was the Chief Host, attended the ceremony in company of top government functionaries and politicians, including the Kebbi State APC Chairman, Abubakar Muhammadu Kana Zuru.
