Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under Operation Fasan Yamma, conducted a devastating airstrike that eliminated 95 terrorists near Ragada and Warari villages in Rijau Local Government Area of Niger State.
According to a credible intelligence source cited by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), NAF fighter jets intercepted the terrorists on Tuesday around 3:00 p.m. as they traveled from Zamfara through Kebbi into Niger.
The source disclosed that the bandits, numbering 108 and armed with sophisticated weapons, were moving on motorcycles toward Warari and Rijau.

“Enquiry conducted revealed the bandits are moving with one hundred and eight (108) motorcycles armed with sophisticated weapons on their way to Warari and Rijau Local Government Areas of Niger,” the source stated.
He said the he jets struck at coordinates 10° 54′ 1.51” N | 5° 25′ 4.96” E, neutralizing 95 of the bandits, with only 13 motorcycles escaping.
“Residents of the villages of Makuku, Warari, and Ragada in Rijau Local Government Area have expressed their happiness and appreciation to the federal government’s commitment in the ongoing fight against banditry and other criminal elements in the northwest generally,” the source added.
Intelligence from the area confirmed the operation’s success, marking a significant blow to banditry in the region. (NAN)
