Late Alhaji Aminu Pate
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Abbas Tajuddeen, is grieving the passing of his elder brother, Alhaji Aminu Pate, who died late Wednesday, according to a statement.
Media and Publicity Officer of the Zazzau Emirate Council, Malam Abdullahi Kwarbai, announced this in a statement on. Thursday.
Kwarbai said the late Pate succumbed to a long-term illness at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) in Zaria.
“He left behind wives, children, and grandchildren,” Kwarbai noted.
Until his death, Pate held the prestigious traditional title of Wamban Dawakin Zazzau.
Kwarbai added that the deceased was a retired civil servant who attained the position of Director of Personnel Management, having served in various local government councils across Kaduna State.
The funeral prayers for Alhaji Aminu Pate are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Zazzau Emir’s Palace, Kwarbai confirmed.
