
A middle-aged woman, identified as Falmata, was found dead near Federal University, Gashu’a, Yobe State.
According to eyewitnesses, residents discovered her lifeless body dumped by the roadside early Friday morning and promptly alerted security agencies.
Details surrounding her death remain unclear, with sources lamenting that “nobody knows who killed her and where they took her from.”
“We only saw her lifeless body dumped by her killers” one of the sources said.
A source close to the family described Falmata as a peaceful food vendor at the motor park and vegetable market in Gashu’a.
“I know her very well, she was a food vendor at the motor part and vegetable market in Gashu’a, she was a peaceful woman”, the source said.
The community is shaken, and residents are calling on the Yobe State Government and security agencies to investigate and bring the perpetrators to justice. They expressed concern over the rising cases of mysterious killings and urged authorities to take decisive action.
As of the time of filing this report, the Yobe State Police Command had not released an official statement regarding the incident.
