
Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum
Borno State Government has announced the postponement of the presentation of the 2026 Appropriation Bill earlier scheduled for Monday, December 15, 2025.
In a public interest announcement released on Sunday, the government said the budget presentation by the Executive Governor of Borno State, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, to the Borno State House of Assembly was put on hold due to unforeseen circumstances.
“This is to inform the general public that the presentation of the 2026 Appropriation Bill to the Borno State House of Assembly by the Executive Governor of Borno State… earlier scheduled for Monday 15 December 2025, is hereby postponed due to unforeseen circumstance,” the statement read.
The government assured residents that a new date for the presentation would be communicated in due course.
“A new date will be announced shortly. Any inconveniences caused by this postponement is highly regretted,” the statement added.
The announcement was signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Prof. Usman Tar, who appealed for public understanding as arrangements are being concluded.
