Nigeria records 225 new COVID-19 cases

A total of 225 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), were recorded on Tuesday from 11 states of across Nigeria, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Conrtrol (NCDC), made this known in the daily update on its official twitter handle @NCDCgov·

The NCDC also put Nigeria’s total confirmed infections since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic at 60,655, out of which 52,006 had been discharged, with 1,116 deaths recorded.

According to the health agency, of the 225 new cases, Lagos accounted for 165, followed by the FCT with 17, Rivers-13, Ogun-12, Niger-8, Delta-4, Ondo-2, Anambra-1, Edo-1, Ekiti-1, and Kaduna-1.
