Nigeria records 152 new cases of COVID-19

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), said on Tuesday that 152 new COVID-19 infections had been recorded from eight states of the Federation including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

In an update on its official twitter handle, @NCDCgov, the health agency also said that with the development, the total number of confirmed cases COVID-19 infections in Nigeria stood at 64,336.

According to the NCDC, out of the total infections, 60,333 cases had been treated and discharged while a total of 1,160 deaths had been recorded since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country early this year.

The 152 new cases of COVID-109 came from Lagos-93, FCT-21, Oyo-15, Rivers-11, Bauchi-7, Kwara-2, Bayelsa-1, Edo-1 and Plateau-1, according to the NCDC.
