The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) on Friday commiserated with the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, over the demise of his mother, Mrs Abigail Makinde.
The governor’s mother passed away in the early hours of Thursday at the age of 81.
The condolence message was contained in a statement by its President, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
Kayode urged the governor to find solace in the fact that his mother lived an exemplary and fulfilled life.
“I received, with sadness, the news of the passing away of the revered mother of the Oyo State Governor.
“The loss of a mother comes with deep emotional pain, and I join in the prayers for you and your family to find strength and comfort in God. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
“I pray God will comfort you, give you the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and grant repose to the soul of the departed, ” he prayed. (NAN)
