The group in a statement issued by its Chief Operations Officer, Mrs. Funmi Ajare, in Abuja, described the conferment as an amazing accomplishment and a testament of intellectual sagacity and self-confidence which the minister stood for over the years.

The statement, therefore, called on the minister to use her achievements to ensure that women are at the forefront of leading the economic growth Africa desires, and to ensure that women work towards the agenda of gender and social inclusion policy to protect women and female children in various countries.

The statement reads in part: “This amazing accomplishment is just one step on your journey. Your ability to relentlessly search for solutions to problems and find innovative ways to improve the world, is the key to this success and many to come.

“We know you overcome so many obstacles to achieve this success story. Your perseverance is an inspiration to many African women, and you deserved all the laurels coming your way.

“We noticed that as you worked toward this academic success, you behaved with such humility, grace and kindness to others. We appreciate how you always share your success with your team, and your love for your members is one of the reasons you rise to the top. Congratulations!”
