Al Ansar 96.1 FM Radio/TV present prizes to 6 Ramadan Islamic Quiz winners

Al Ansar Radio FM 96.1 and TV Station, Maiduguri has presented consolation prizes to winners of Ramadan Islamic Quiz organized by the radio station for the citizens of Borno State.

The event took place on Tuesday at the studio of Al Ansar Radio Station, which was broadcast live on radio, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram .

The Ramadan Islamic Quiz which started on the first day of the Holy Month of Ramadan 2021, had a large heterogeneous audience as participants and also winners for the first, second and third positions and also three winners for the fourth, fifth and sixth positions.

The participants contested the quiz under 5 subjects which include: The Quran, Hadith, Sirah, Tauhid and Fiqhu.

After the daily rigorous and challenging quiz from 8 AM to 9 AM, the winners with the highest scoring marks were presented with their various prizes, which were donated by individuals and organizations to encourage learning of Islamic knowledge among the Muslim communities within the state and its environs.

The first winner, Zara Ahmed went home with N200,000 cash, Holy Quran and other items having scored 109.5 marks, while the second position went to Fatima Ahmed, who scored 71.5 marks and was given the sum of N150,000, Holy Quran and other prizes. While Ammar Umar, an 8 year old boy emerged third winner with 62 points and went home with N108,000 cash, Holy Quran and other items.

The fourth position went to Aisha Isa, who scored 56 marks and got N20,000 cash, Holy Quran and other prizes, Babagana Mustapha, a physically challenged person on wheel chair took fifth position having scored 53 points and went home with N20,000 cash and other items while the sixth position went to Fatima Mohammed Lawan, who got 41 marks and went home with N29,000 and other prizes.

Presenting the prizes on behalf of the President of Al Ansar Radio FM 96.1 and TV, Dr. Mohammed Dikwa, the Chairman of Board of Directors, Bar. Isa Buratai, said he was highly impressed with the quiz programme streaming live on radio through out the month of Ramadan.

He also commended the efforts of the management staff of the radio and TV Station,who worked tirelessly to see to the success of the Islamic knowledge programme and other peace and humanitarian programmes for the first time in history.

The Chairman also congratulated the winners, moderators and organizers of the quiz , especially, the smallest among the winners, an 8 year old boy who emerged third, while urging the staff to work harder to meet the vision and mission of the radio and TV station.

In his remark, the Media Consultant to Al Ansar FM Radio 96.1 and TV Station, Alhaji Mohammed Alfa, noted that the promise made earlier to the people about the radio and TV station has been fulfilled and the station is still waxing stronger with new interesting and tantalizing programmes.

He added that the station was not meant to compete with any station, rather it is aimed at advocating for the peace and stability in the state and environs, hence, its motto: ‘Radio for Humanity”.

while noting that a lot of programmes have been initiated towards achieving its vision and mission, Alhaji Alfa called on the people to continue to pray for the survival and stability of the station as well as the safety and health of the staff.

He also appreciated the patronage of all and sundry, including organizations and governments.

Highlights of the event include cash and prizes presentation, recitation, group photographs and interview’s among others.
