
Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia

Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia is part of the delegation led by Vice President, Kassim Shettima to attend the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
The Nigerian delegation on Friday departed from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, for New York, to attend the 79th United Nations General Assembly.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Tersoo Kula said Governor Alia was part of the delegation selected by President Bola Tinubu to attend the assembly, which is expected to commence on Saturday, September 21, 2024, to Sunday, September 28, 2024.
According to the statement “This assembly is an opportunity for world leaders to come together to discuss progress on interconnected global challenges.”
Governor Alia’s spokesman revealed that while in the United States, Governor Alia would attend various important sideline events and hold bilateral meetings that would immensely benefit Benue State.
Kula insisted that these high-level sessions would focus on subnational government strategies for accelerating sustainable development through technology and partnerships.
