Result sheets for Saturday’s ward congress of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Enugu State are reportedly missing.
Media reports from the 260 wards in the state showed that officials deployed to the various wards for the exercise came to the congress venues with the result sheets. They claimed it was not handed over to them.
According to Daily Post, the development is already raising tension among members of the party in the state.
Confirming the development, The Chairman of the APC in the State, Dr. Ben Nwoye, said he received the reports about missing result sheets.
According to him: “The fact is that in all the 260 wards, I have received calls that there was no results sheets. It was INEC officials that first alerted me about it”.
He, however, said the exercise was peaceful and there was no parallel congress across the State.
Efforts made to reach the chairman of the Congress Committee in Enugu State, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu was unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.
