APC’ll be stronger after membership update — Wamakko

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Defence, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) would come out stronger after the ongoing membership registration and revalidation exercise.

Speaking after revalidating his membership at the Gidan Ja’oje polling unit in Wamakko, Sokoto State, he said the party would remain intact despite all odds.

Senator Wamakko, who is the leader of the party in Sokoto, noted that the dissolution of the party executives at the state level was done in good faith.

“It was done to reposition the party and prepare it for the 2023 general elections,” he said.

He commended the National leadership of the party for leading it well since their inauguration.

When asked whether the party would participate in the forthcoming Local Government elections in Sokoto, he said, “why not.”

Earlier, the chairman of the registration committee, Professor Saleh Muhammed, said APC was one big family with the same father.
