Bayelsa Queens Football Club of Yenagoa have been named the Fair Play award winners at the just-concluded 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League (CAFWCL).

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Nigerian champions finished third in the tournament.

This was after they secured a 1-0 win against Simba Ladies of Tanzania in their third-place match on Saturday.

But they went on to pick the Fair Play award to add to their collection before heading home.

NAN reports that Bayelsa Queens missed out on a place in the final after losing 0-1 in their semi-final game against ASFAR of Morocco on Wednesday.
