BIRS creates new motor licence offices to ease tax payment

Determined to ensure easy accessibility and payment of taxes, the Benue State Internal Revenue Service (BIRS) has opened up new motor license centres in Gboko Central, Ihugh and Jato Aka areas of Benue State.

The Acting Chairman, Benue State Internal Revenue Services (BIRS), Mr. Emmanuel Agema, said the offices were opened to enable people get the licences at their convenience.

According to the Chairman, the newly opened Motor Licence Centres are paramount for registration of Motor Vehicles,Motor Cycles and Renewal of Motor Vehicle/Motorcycle Particulars adding that, opening of these offices would save cost, time and enable people within these axis access needed services conveniently for improved revenue generation in the state.

“It’s my desire to draw these offices closer to the people so that, they can conveniently pay tax or access our services from the comfort of their homes and communities”

The Chairman also called on all esteemed tax layers and all Benue people, who wish to register motor vehicles or motor cycles and renew their particulars to visit offices nearest to them.

He commended Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia for his continued support and providing a conducive environment for improved revenue generation.

The tax boss reiterated his resolute commitment to serve the Benue populace in all ernest and with a sense of humanity in order to improve revenue generation for more developmental projects in the state.

Gboko central licence office is located at Tsegha Jago Street, behind Nepa Main Office Gboko, Ihugh office located at Gboko Road, beside police station, while Jato Aka office is located at Kashimbila Road, beside police station.

In their excitement, the people of the above mentioned areas, particularly some motorists spoken to, extended their heartfelt appreciation to the tax genius for this great improvement.

Operational equipments have already been allocated to these office to enable them kick start and enhance maximum and optimal results as well as efficient service delivery.
